]]> Colourless-to-red thermochromic ink

Thermochromic (temperature-sensitive) ink changes colour with temperature. This reversible colouring grade is colourless at room temperature, turns red when warmed — by a fingertip, hot liquid or heat source — and returns to colourless as it cools, so the effect can be repeated indefinitely.

Grades available

  • Reversible fading: coloured at room temperature, fades to colourless when heated, colour returns on cooling
  • Reversible colouring: colourless at room temperature, develops colour when heated (this product)
  • Reversible colour-change: changes from one colour to another at the set temperature
  • Irreversible: permanent change once the activation temperature is reached — for heat indicators

Printing and substrates

Screen printing (a 200-mesh screen is recommended) on paper, board, cloth, glass and other substrates.

Temperature sensitive ink is also known as thermochromic ink, thermosensitive ink or temperature indicating ink. Temperature dependent inks can be divided into three types: 1. Display a specific color at room temperature. After heating, the color will disappear and become colorless. After cooling, it will return to the original color immediately. It's a reversible, colorless to color, temperature sensitive ink 2. it is colorless at room temperature, and becomes another color after heating. After cooling, it will return to the original colorless color. Because of its reversible change process, it is called reversible colorless to colored temperature change ink. 3. Reversible fading temperature sensitive ink

Turning colorless in appearance after being heated and it can restore its original color after being cooled.

Reversible coloration temperature sensitive ink

Colorless in appearance but take on color after being heated and can restore colorless after being cooled. Screen is advised to use 200 item screen printing form.

Reversible discoloration temperature sensitive ink

The color of this ink will change to another color when the temperature is to the specified degrees and will restore original color when the temperature is down.

Irreversible temperature sensitive ink

Irreversible temperature sensitive ink includes coloration ink and discoloration ink. Irreversible coloration temperature sensitive ink is colorless in appearance but shows colors after being heated and can’t restore colorless once again after cooling off. The original color of Irreversible discoloration temperature sensitive ink can be changed into another one and it can’t restore its original colors after being cooled once again.
