Description
Optical variable ink: green to blue
Optical variable ink (OVI) shifts colour as the viewing angle changes — here from green to blue. Because the effect cannot be reproduced by scanners, colour copiers or standard printing processes, it is one of the most trusted overt anti-counterfeiting features and is used on currency, securities and high-value packaging worldwide.
Key features
- Very high security level; recognisable without any device
- Good colour rendering and rub fastness
- Water-based liquid ink with good storage stability and easy handling
- Other colour pairs available: red to gold, purple to green, brown-red to green, blue to purple-red, green to purple
Printing method and applications
Screen printing and gravure printing. Used on banknotes, certificates, tax and excise stamps, security labels, wine and spirits boxes, cigarette packs and luxury goods packaging.
