Description
Magnetic optical variable ink
Magnetic optical variable ink (OVMI) layers two authentication methods in one print: the golden-to-green colour shift of an OVI that anyone can see, and a magnetic response that can be verified with a magnetic detector. It is used where both public and machine verification are required.
Key features
- Two-level security — visual colour shift plus magnetic detection
- Intense optical variation and sharp colour change with viewing angle
- Colourful metallic lustre in the printed area
- Cannot be duplicated by high-resolution scanners, colour copiers or other inks and processes
Printing method and applications
Screen printing. Banknotes and securities, passports and ID documents, certificates, tax stamps and high-value brand-protection labels.
